One voice, aisle to last dance

It's so un-Australian to talk about myself so I'm going to do that thing I speak in third person and have you think there's a whole team behind me when it's literally just me. I mean there's my husband who's my events manager and the logistics KING and then my Like This Entertainment family back in Australia, but in terms of who you'll be communicating with and expecting on your big day, it's ME 👋🏽

Firstly I recommend you stalk my Instagram page to get a feel of who I am, vibe, energy, how my Italian is coming along and the fact that I'm obsessed with Switzerland's water system. All the important stuff right? I joke, but I also do understand that your wedding day only gets to happen once and so you want to lock in the pros and the ones who are confident to give you exactly what you have in mind and aren't duds to work with and unfortunately there's a few duds in the world 🙄

So here's a bit more about me in third person…

Jess Fairlie has spent her whole life on stage. A Melbourne-born soul-pop vocalist, she was singing jazz standards in the city's clubs at thirteen, touring as a backing vocalist for Kate Ceberano as a teenager and nationally touring with Vanessa Amorosi and 1927 in her early 20s. This is where she learnt to sing and jump around like an energiser bunny at the same time 🐰

Her own music (soul and pop built on a jazz foundation) has earned airplay on Double J, triple j Unearthed and ABC stations, sold-out headline shows and support slots with the California Honeydrops, Kate Ceberano and Sex on Toast.

She's also the resident anthem singer for NBL side Melbourne United at John Cain Arena, so safe to say she likes making noise. Throughout it all, she's had the pleasure of singing brides and couples down the aisle and bringing a whole lotta vibes and most likely your grandma onto the dance floor at weddings.

Two years ago, Jess moved to Italy on a whim with a six-month trial that stuck and since then she's filled dance floors at weddings the length of the country and now right across Europe, splitting her year between destination weddings abroad and a booked-out peak season back home in Australia.

In Australia she performs with the Like This Entertainment family; in Europe she's built that arm herself, bringing musicians of the same caliber and the same read on a room to couples marrying far from home. A ceremony entrance that makes everyone hold their breath or a dancefloor that doesn't clear until the lights come up, either way, it's Jess ✨

“At a wedding, my only intention is that the bride and groom have the best night of their lives. I'm obviously biased but I believe the best weddings, or any event for that matter, are made by great entertainers and musicians who are there to serve their audience/guests a good time to the point they can't remember dancing like that in a long time. So while singing the bride down the aisle is my favourite, the dance floor is definitely the funnest and probably my specialty. Because anyone can play music, but not everyone can read a room and make certain moments ones to remember forever.”
